**Numbers 7:57** โ€” *"one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering"*

Three animals. Precisely specified. Not left to the worshiper's preference.

This is the twelfth tribal leader bringing his dedication offering โ€” and the instruction is identical to the eleven before him. No variation. No room for creative substitution.

There is something deeply pastoral here: God does not accept worship shaped entirely by our own terms. The burnt offering consumed *everything* โ€” hide, flesh, organs โ€” signifying total surrender, not partial devotion.

Leviticus 1:9 confirms the pattern: *"It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD."*

And Romans 12:1 carries it forward โ€” *"offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God."*

The covenant call has always been the same: bring what is whole, present it completely, hold nothing back.

Consider what you are withholding from the altar today.
