**Jeremiah 27:15** β€” *"For I have not sent them, declares the LORD, and yet they are prophesying falsely in My name; therefore I will banish you, and you will perishβ€”you and the prophets who prophesy to you."*

A voice that claims divine authority is not the same as a voice that carries it.

In Jeremiah's day, false prophets offered comfort the LORD never authorized β€” peace where covenant faithfulness demanded repentance. The people *wanted* those words. That want made them dangerous.

Scripture reminds us that the source of a word matters as much as the sound of it. Warmth and confidence are not the same as truth. Crowds gathering around a message does not sanctify it.

Walk with discernment, beloved. Test what you hear against the whole counsel of God β€” not against what soothes, but against what *Scripture actually says.*

A shepherd who leads well will sometimes lead toward difficulty before leading toward rest.
