**Deuteronomy 1:15** โ€” *"So I took the leaders of your tribes, wise and respected men, and appointed them as leaders over youโ€”as commanders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens, and as officers for your tribes."*

Moses didn't appoint celebrities. He appointed the *already-trusted* โ€” men whose wisdom had been tested in the daily friction of community life before any title was given.

This is the covenant pattern of leadership: character precedes commission. Notice the structure โ€” thousands, hundreds, fifties, tens. God builds stewards at the smallest scale first. Faithfulness over ten before faithfulness over a thousand.

Proverbs 22:29 echoes this: *"Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings."* And Luke 16:10 seals it: *"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much."*

Walk with integrity in the small, unseen post you hold today. Scripture reminds us โ€” God is always watching the tens.
