**Psalms 119:61** โ€” *"Though the ropes of the wicked bind me, I do not forget Your law."*

The psalmist is not speaking metaphorically here โ€” he is bound. Constrained by opposition, perhaps imprisoned by circumstance or cornered by enemies who sought to silence his covenant walk with God.

And yet, the law holds.

This is not willpower. This is the fruit of a faith formed *before* the crisis arrived. The psalmist had dwelt so long in God's Word that even captivity could not evict it from his heart.

Consider the believer who memorizes scripture in seasons of peace โ€” that hidden treasury becomes a fortress when the ropes tighten.

By grace, what we steward in quiet moments becomes our anchor in violent ones.

Let us reflect on what we are planting in our hearts today โ€” because the harvest of that faithfulness may be needed far sooner than we expect.
