**Daniel 2:46** โ€” *"At this, King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, paid homage to Daniel, and ordered that an offering and incense be presented to him."*

A pagan king, undone by wisdom he could not manufacture, bows before a captive.

Consider the irony: Nebuchadnezzar built an empire on the assumption that power explains everything. Then God revealed a dream through a young exile from a conquered nation โ€” and the empire bowed.

Daniel did not seek this moment. He sought God first, in prayer, with his companions (Daniel 2:17โ€“18). The homage came as overflow, not ambition.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5โ€“6 that when we acknowledge God in all our ways, He directs our paths โ€” sometimes into rooms we never petitioned to enter.

The beloved who abide in covenant faithfulness are often the ones history cannot explain by its own categories.

Walk with that truth today โ€” and let it steady you wherever you feel small.
