**1 John 5:13** β€” *"I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life."*

John chose the word *know* β€” not *hope*, not *sense*, not *feel on good days*. The Greek *eidΔ“te* carries the weight of settled, certain knowledge. This letter was written so that assurance would not remain a fog you chase but a foundation you stand on.

So many believers sojourn through their faith carrying quiet uncertainty β€” as if confidence were arrogance. But John calls it obedience. To receive this assurance is to receive what the Father intended when He gave His Son.

Beloved, the covenant is not ambiguous. The promise is not conditional on your emotional state. You who believe in His name β€” *you may know*.

Walk with that certainty today. Let it steady your steps, not inflate your pride. Assurance is a gift worth dwelling in.
