**1 Samuel 18:30** โ€” *"Every time the Philistine commanders came out for battle, David was more successful than all of Saul's officers, so that his name was highly esteemed."*

Notice what Scripture does not say here. It does not say David was the strongest, the most experienced, or the most decorated. It says he was *more successful* โ€” consistently, repeatedly, across every engagement.

This is the fruit of a life hidden in covenant faithfulness. David had already been anointed, already faced Goliath, already learned to shepherd alone in the dark fields of Bethlehem. His public victories were simply the overflow of private obedience.

Esteem before others is rarely built in a single moment. It is built in the quiet seasons โ€” the unseen faithfulness, the disciplines no one applauds, the walks with God that leave marks only He can see.

Let us reflect on what we are cultivating in the hidden places, for that is where our public fruitfulness is formed.
