**Esther 1:21** โ€” *"The king and his princes were pleased with this counsel; so the king did as Memucan advised."*

A throne room. A decision made. And tucked beneath the surface of this courtly moment โ€” a quiet theological reality: counsel shapes kingdoms.

Memucan stepped forward with words, and a king moved. This is the weight of the advisor, the steward who speaks into power. Scripture reminds us that wisdom offered faithfully โ€” even in secular halls โ€” carries consequence far beyond the moment.

Consider the person in your sphere who holds influence: a supervisor, a parent, a congregation. The counsel you bring them is never neutral. Proverbs 11:14 tells us that in an abundance of counselors there is safety. And Proverbs 15:22 confirms: plans fail without counsel, but with many advisors they succeed.

You are a steward of words given to those who lead.

Walk with that awareness today โ€” and let the counsel you offer be worthy of the One who first counseled you.
