**Job 11:16** โ€” *"For you will forget your misery, recalling it only as waters gone by."*

Zophar spoke these words to Job with more confidence than wisdom โ€” yet the image itself holds something true. Waters move. They do not linger at the same bend in the river.

There is a grief you carry today that feels permanent, carved into stone. Scripture reminds us it is not stone โ€” it is water. What flows eventually passes beyond sight.

This is not a promise that pain was small. Job's suffering was immense, and God never minimized it. Rather, it is a covenant mercy woven into time itself: the soul God restores does not remain at the place of its breaking.

Walk forward. The waters behind you are already moving.

Let us reflect on what we have mistaken for a permanent wound โ€” and consider the grace that keeps time moving in our favor.
