**1 Kings 16:15** โ *"In the twenty-seventh year of Asa's reign over Judah, Zimri reigned in Tirzah for seven days."*
Seven days. That was Zimri's entire reign โ seized through betrayal, sustained by no one, collapsed before it could breathe.
Scripture reminds us that power grasped outside of God's covenant cannot hold. Zimri killed a king to take a throne, yet the army in the field simply chose another man, and Zimri's kingdom dissolved like morning frost. No loyalty. No foundation. No mercy extended, so none returned.
The steward who builds through treachery builds on sand โ not the sand of metaphor, but the very specific sand of 1 Kings: chariots, armies, a burning palace, seven days.
Walk with integrity not because it guarantees comfort, but because what God does not establish, God does not sustain.
Let us reflect on what we are building โ and whose hand we have asked to hold it.
