**Malachi 3:13** โ€” *"Your words against Me have been harsh," says the LORD. "Yet you ask, 'What have we spoken against You?'"*

The people of Malachi's day had developed a habit so subtle it nearly escaped their own notice โ€” murmuring against God's goodness while maintaining the posture of the faithful. They still brought offerings. They still assembled. But their private speech had curdled into complaint, and God heard every word.

This is the covenant danger of spiritual familiarity: we begin to testify against God's character in the quiet moments โ€” at the table, in the car, in the unguarded exhale of a hard season.

Scripture reminds us that our words are not private. They reveal what we actually believe about God's faithfulness when the blessing feels delayed.

Walk with that truth today. The LORD who hears harsh words also hears the soul that turns back toward trust โ€” and that turning is never wasted on Him.
