**Judges 18:21** โ€” *"Putting their small children, their livestock, and their possessions in front of them, they turned and departed."*

The Danites place what is most vulnerable โ€” the children, the animals, the carried-close things โ€” at the head of the column. Not at the rear where commanders typically ride. Out front, where they can be watched.

This is not sentiment. This is covenant stewardship in motion.

What you protect reveals what you truly value. The Danites, flawed as they were in this chapter, understood that the vulnerable do not guard themselves. They require the deliberate placement of care around them.

Scripture reminds us that stewardship is always concrete โ€” it has weight, breath, small feet, and a face.

Consider the ones entrusted to your watch today. The shepherd who keeps them *in front* โ€” visible, tended, unhurried โ€” walks in that same ancient wisdom.

Let us reflect on what we have placed at the front of our lives this week.
