**Malachi 3:2** โ€” *"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner's fire, like a launderer's soap."*

The refiner's fire does not destroy gold โ€” it reveals it. Ancient silversmiths would heat metal until the dross rose to the surface, skimming away everything that did not belong. Only then could they see their own reflection in the molten surface.

Malachi is not describing punishment. He is describing *purification* โ€” the covenant God who loves His people enough to remove what is false, what is borrowed, what is performance rather than faith.

The hard seasons, the stripping away, the discomfort of being known fully โ€” these are the launderer's soap at work. Not wrath, but mercy in its most demanding form.

Walk with that today. What you cannot endure in your own strength, grace is already carrying โ€” and shaping into something that can stand.
