**Malachi 3:2** — *"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner's fire, like a launderer's soap."*
The refiner's fire does not destroy gold — it reveals it. Ancient silversmiths would heat metal until the dross rose to the surface, skimming away everything that did not belong. Only then could they see their own reflection in the molten surface.
