**1 Samuel 19:20** โ€” *"he sent messengers to seize him. But when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel leading them, the Spirit of God came upon them, and Saul's messengers also began to prophesy."*

Saul sent soldiers to arrest David. They arrived armed with orders โ€” and left prophesying.

This is not a footnote. This is the Spirit of God moving so tangibly through a covenant community that even hostile men could not remain unchanged in its presence.

Samuel did not argue with them. He did not defend David. He simply led the prophets in worship, and the atmosphere of God's presence did what no human strategy could accomplish.

There is something here for those who shepherd others: the most powerful protection you can offer is not a defense โ€” it is dwelling so deeply in God's presence that His Spirit fills the room.

Let the weight of that settle โ€” what might change around you, if the Spirit is welcome where you dwell.
