**Matthew 19:25** โ *"When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, 'Who then can be saved?'"*
The disciples had done the math. A wealthy man had walked away. If *he* couldn't make it, what hope remained?
Their astonishment is honest โ and worth sitting with. They were not doubting God; they were confronting their own assumptions about merit, effort, and worthiness. So are we, more often than we admit.
Jesus answered them in verse 26: *"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."*
Salvation was never a ladder we climb. It is a covenant God keeps โ not because we qualify, but because He is faithful. Romans 3:24 calls it being *"justified freely by his grace."*
The disciples asked the right question. The answer reshapes everything.
Let us reflect on what we are still trusting in to make us worthy โ and lay it down before the One who already is.
