**Genesis 31:12** โ€” *"Look up," he said, "and see that all the males that are mating with the flock are streaked, spotted, or speckled; for I have seen all that Laban has done to you."*

God did not send Jacob a vision of comfort. He sent him a vision of *livestock* โ€” the very currency of his exploitation.

This is the covenant faithfulness of a Shepherd who enters the details of your labor. Not the broad strokes. The specific, unglamorous, decade-long details. Laban had changed Jacob's wages ten times (Genesis 31:41). God had been watching every one.

When heaven finally speaks, it often speaks in the language of your particular struggle โ€” the ledger you've been keeping, the loss you thought went unwitnessed.

Scripture reminds us that the One who numbers the hairs of your head (Matthew 10:30) also numbers the spotted lambs in your field.

Let us reflect on what it means to be *seen* โ€” not in general, but precisely.
