**Psalm 22:6** โ€” *"But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people."*

David wrote this. Then centuries later, Christ prayed it from the cross.

That is not coincidence โ€” it is covenant language, pressed through suffering until it becomes prophecy.

The Hebrew word here is *tola'at* โ€” a crimson worm, crushed to produce scarlet dye. Precious. Purposeful. Destroyed to give color and worth to something far greater.

When you feel reduced, scorned, unseen โ€” you are standing in the very words Christ embodied. Not because suffering is noble in itself, but because God has a long history of redeeming the crushed into something of deep and lasting worth.

The worm of Psalm 22 became the Lamb of Revelation 5.

Let us reflect on what God has consistently done with what the world has discarded โ€” and consider where that same mercy may be at work in you today.
