**Daniel 5:16** โ€” *"But I have heard about you, that you are able to give interpretations and solve difficult problems. Therefore, if you can read this inscription and give me its interpretation, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around your neck, and you will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom."*

Belshazzar offered Daniel a throne. Daniel's response? He declined the gifts before he ever opened his mouth to interpret.

This is the mark of a true steward โ€” one who serves the covenant, not the crown. Daniel's wisdom was never his own currency to spend. It belonged to the God who granted it.

Purple robes fade. Gold chains grow heavy. But the one who walks in God's wisdom carries something Babylon cannot manufacture and no king can confiscate.

Scripture reminds us that gifts given by grace are meant to testify, not to be traded.

Consider the gifts you carry โ€” and whose name they were given to glorify.
