**Ezekiel 7:14** โ€” *"They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but no one goes to war, for My wrath is upon the whole multitude."*

The trumpet sounded. The armor was polished. The formations were set.

And no one moved.

This is not cowardice โ€” it is collapse from within. Ezekiel describes a people whose outward readiness had become a ritual divorced from covenant faithfulness. The preparation was real. The response was hollow.

Scripture reminds us that God is not impressed by the posture of readiness when the heart has long departed from Him. Israel had the forms of worship, the language of devotion โ€” and yet the wrath of the Lord rendered their mobilization meaningless.

Consider the sobering mercy embedded here: God does not hide His hand. He names what is happening and why.

Walk with that honesty today โ€” not in fear, but in the grace of a God who still speaks before judgment falls.
