**2 Peter 1:17** — *"For He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory, saying, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'"*
Peter was an eyewitness on that mountain. He heard the Father's voice break open the sky over His Son — not after a ministry triumph, not at the resurrection, but mid-sojourn, before the cross.
