**2 Kings 21:18** โ€” *"And Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And his son Amon reigned in his place."*

A king who led Judah into profound darkness โ€” child sacrifice, sorcery, the desecration of God's own temple โ€” is buried in a garden. Not with honor in the royal tombs of David's city, but quietly, privately, in his own courtyard.

Scripture does not editorialize. It simply records: *he was buried there, and his son followed.*

This is the weight of legacy. What a father cultivates โ€” whether covenant faithfulness or willful rebellion โ€” becomes the soil his children inherit. Amon would reign only two years before his own servants struck him down (2 Kings 21:23). The harvest of Manasseh's garden came swiftly.

Walk carefully, beloved steward. The seeds of your daily choices are being sown into ground that others will one day stand upon.
