**Job 34:24** โ€” *"He shatters the mighty without inquiry and sets up others in their place."*

Elihu watched empires rise and fall and drew one unflinching conclusion: God requires no tribunal to act. No committee. No approval. The throne that seemed immovable is emptied overnight โ€” and another stands there by morning.

This is not cruelty. This is sovereignty.

Nebuchadnezzar learned it in the fields, eating grass like an ox, until he lifted his eyes and acknowledged the One who holds every crown (Daniel 4:34โ€“35). Paul echoed it plainly โ€” *"there is no authority except that which God has established"* (Romans 13:1).

So the steward who clings to position, and the leader who trusts in leverage โ€” both stand on borrowed ground.

Walk with open hands. What God has entrusted, He may reclaim. What He reclaims, He redirects for purposes beyond our sight.

Let the mercy of that truth settle in you today.
