**Isaiah 26:12** โ€” *"O LORD, You will establish peace for us. For all that we have accomplished, You have done for us."*

There is a particular mercy in this verse that cuts quietly against pride. Isaiah does not say Israel *received help* โ€” he says everything accomplished was, at its root, God's own doing. The distinction matters.

Consider the craftsman who builds well, the leader who decides wisely, the servant who finishes faithfully. Scripture does not diminish their effort. It simply relocates the source.

This is the posture of a true steward: hands fully engaged, heart fully surrendered. We work โ€” genuinely, sacrificially โ€” yet we hold our accomplishments loosely, knowing the strength, the timing, the open door all flowed from the same covenant hand.

Peace, Isaiah tells us, is not earned at the end of our striving. It is *established* โ€” a word of permanence โ€” by the One who was already working before we began.

Let us reflect on what we are quietly taking credit for today.
