**1 Peter 5:4** โ€” *"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away."*

Peter wrote this to elders who were quietly bearing the weight of scattered, suffering congregations โ€” men who would never see a stadium filled with their converts, never hold a title of earthly significance.

Yet the promise is precise: *the Chief Shepherd sees the faithful shepherd.*

The crown of glory is not awarded for spectacle. It is reserved for those who served when no one was watching โ€” who corrected with gentleness, grieved with the grieving, and remained at their post when the flock was difficult and the season was long.

Consider the elder who has served the same small congregation for thirty years. Scripture reminds us that heaven is keeping a different record than the one the world keeps.

Walk with faithfulness today. The Chief Shepherd's return is the only review that will ever truly matter.
