**Jeremiah 51:1** โ€” *"This is what the LORD says: 'Behold, I will stir up against Babylon and against the people of Leb-kamai the spirit of a destroyer.'"*

Leb-kamai โ€” a coded name, an Atbash cipher for Chaldea. Even God's judgment wore a veil, spoken in the language of the exiled and the hunted.

This is not a God who acts in secret because He is ashamed. He acts in covenant precision โ€” announcing through the prophet what empires would never anticipate. Babylon, the very instrument of Israel's discipline, now stands under its own reckoning.

The destroyer is *stirred*, not unleashed in chaos โ€” but directed, purposed, sovereignly deployed.

Walk with this truth: the same God who permitted the exile also appointed its end. No season of discipline exceeds His design. No power enthroned by His permission stands beyond His recall.

Let us reflect on what it means to trust a God whose mercy and sovereignty dwell together without contradiction.
