**Genesis 11:20** โ€” *"When Reu was 32 years old, he became the father of Serug."*

A single sentence. No sermon. No miracle. Just a man, an age, a name passed forward.

Yet here, tucked inside a genealogy most readers skip, is the covenant faithfulness of God made visible in the most ordinary of ways โ€” one generation bearing the next, the line of promise preserved not through spectacle, but through faithful continuation.

Scripture reminds us that God's purposes advance through quiet obedience as much as through burning bushes. Reu did not part a sea. He sojourned, he lived, he stewarded the gift of a son โ€” and that son would become part of the lineage leading to Abraham, to David, to Christ.

The unnamed seasons of your life โ€” the unremarkable years โ€” are not outside God's covenant care. They are woven into it.

Let us reflect on what faithfulness looks like when no one is watching, and no record remains but a name.
