**Numbers 20:6** โ *"Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. They fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them."*
The congregation was thirsty and furious. Moses and Aaron did not argue back, defend themselves, or strategize. They withdrew โ not in defeat, but in covenant posture โ and prostrated themselves before God.
There is something worth sitting with here. The glory of the LORD did not appear while Moses was managing the crowd. It appeared when he stopped managing and started worshipping.
Stewardship of difficult people begins at the entrance to the Tent โ in surrender, not in solutions. Aaron's role that day was simply to accompany his brother into that sacred, facedown place.
Walk with someone into prayer before you walk them into counsel.
Scripture reminds us: the posture of the servant precedes the provision of the LORD. Let us reflect on what we reach for first when the crowd grows restless.
