Brotherly kindness (*philadelphia*) is the warmth we extend to those already close — our covenant community, our household of faith. Love (*agape*) reaches further. It costs more. The sequence is intentional. Godliness shapes the heart. Kindness trains the hands. And love — *agape* — is where the disciple is finally stretched beyond what feels natural.
