Good morning, you're listening to Markets Desk.
Boston Scientific is under pressure this morning after a cyberattack disrupted the medical device maker's ability to ship products. Shares are falling as the company works to assess the damage, with no clear timeline yet for when normal operations will resume. Investors are watching closely given how operationally sensitive product distribution is in the device space.
Shifting to the bond market, Citadel Securities strategist Frank Flight is sounding a warning about the crowded short position building against long-term Treasuries. He argues the trade has become dangerously one-sided, and that any catalyst pushing yields lower could trigger a sharp and painful unwind for those caught on the wrong side of that bet.
And in commodities, Brent crude is sitting at eighty-seven dollars and forty-one cents per barrel as of early this morning, down nearly three dollars from yesterday and off more than eleven percent from just a month ago. That pullback is notable given crude was trading closer to ninety-nine dollars per barrel thirty days back, suggesting demand concerns or supply dynamics are beginning to reassert themselves.
That's the tape. Markets Desk, signing off the floor.
