CeeDee Lamb was working hard at Cowboys training camp in Oxnard when someone back home decided to take advantage of his absence. Lamb's residence in Fairview, Texas was burglarized while the star wide receiver was with the team in California. Police are investigating, and it's a troubling situation for one of the league's best.
Shifting to baseball, the Seattle Mariners have a real concern on their hands after utilityman Brendan Donovan took a baseball to the head in the batting cages Saturday. Manager Dan Wilson confirmed Sunday that Donovan is heading to the seven-day concussion injured list. The twenty-nine-year-old was pulled before he even got to the field, and the Mariners will monitor him closely going forward.
And in college football, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning is not holding back. Lanning went on the record calling out NFL players who return to the college game, saying flatly that it is unfair to the sport. With roster construction and recruiting already in flux from the transfer portal era, Lanning wants the league to draw a harder line and keep the two worlds separate.
