Monday saw significant new buying flow into corn and soybeans, with open interest surging by tens of thousands of contracts, but that enthusiasm is cooling as planting progress continues and crop ratings come in mixed, leaving bulls without a fresh catalyst to hold those levels.
Shifting to tech, Intel is staging a remarkable move, with its market capitalization surging past Oracle's as investors pile in on growing speculation around a potential partnership with Apple. The stock is now within striking distance of its all-time record valuation set back in two thousand, a milestone that would have seemed nearly unthinkable just a year ago given how far the chipmaker had fallen from relevance.
Meanwhile, Palantir is a different story despite posting upbeat earnings. The stock is falling as Wall Street zeroes in on weak international commercial revenue, and analysts are making the point that at Palantir's current valuation, there is simply no margin for anything short of perfection.
