A new book details how China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea have built a coordinated architecture of Christian persecution, sharing surveillance tools, legal frameworks, and even constructed false churches designed for propaganda. It is a reminder that repression, like faith, can organize across borders.
And in the region once known as Artsakh, a different kind of erasure is unfolding. Armenian Christians were displaced in two thousand twenty three, forced from the monasteries and cemeteries their ancestors built over centuries. Now travel companies offer tours of those same sacred spaces, with little acknowledgment of the people who were made to leave, or why.
