Out in Dyersville, Iowa, the Field of Dreams delivered something genuinely special. Twenty-six Hall of Famers walked out of the outfield corn just like the ghost players in the film, drawing some of the loudest cheers you'll hear at a baseball game this season before the Phillies and Twins took the field. Pure cinema.
Shifting to the NFL preseason, Mike Vrabel made his own kind of highlight reel in New England. The Patriots head coach launched a challenge flag with the arm strength of a starting quarterback after a fumble by Colts signal-caller Anthony Richardson was initially ruled down. The flag went somewhere into another zip code, and the whole sideline knew it. Vrabel is not here to play around.
And in Houston, the Texans got a moment to remember just before halftime against the Chargers. Rookie safety Kamari Ramsey jumped a Trey Lance pass, hauled in his first career interception, and returned it all the way to the Chargers' forty-eight yard line. The kid announced himself at exactly the right moment, flipping field position and giving Houston a chance to put points on the board before the break.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
