Corn futures fell five to nine cents at the close, with the national cash price settling at four dollars eighteen and a quarter. Export sales data came in at just over four hundred ten thousand metric tons, offering little support to bulls looking for a sustained move higher.
Wheat followed corn into the red, with the entire complex drifting lower into the close. Chicago soft red winter contracts shed up to two and a quarter cents, while Kansas City hard red winter and Minneapolis spring wheat both posted modest losses. Traders appear to be recalibrating around shifting tensions in the Black Sea corridor, which had previously underpinned prices.
