You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
Jacob Wilson's historic run is over. The Oakland Athletics shortstop saw his major league record errorless streak come to an end at one hundred twelve games Tuesday night, after an errant throw in the eighth inning of a twelve to four blowout loss to Tampa Bay. The record stood, but the night did not.
Shifting to the mound in Los Angeles, Blake Snell looked anything but rusty in his return from a three-month absence. The Dodgers lefty, coming back from loose bodies in his elbow, struck out seven of the first ten batters he faced, finishing with ten punchouts across six innings. That is not a guy easing back in — that is a statement.
And in Baltimore, some relief for the Ravens organization. Cornerback Nate Wiggins was carted off during Tuesday's practice after tangling feet with rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane on a deep-route drill. Early testing came back encouraging though — no ligament damage detected, and the Ravens are cautiously optimistic heading into the two thousand twenty six season.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
