In Boston, the Red Sox are set to get a significant boost behind the plate. Newly acquired catcher Adley Rutschman is expected to come off the injured list Tuesday, giving Boston a legitimate offensive weapon and defensive anchor as they push through the stretch run of the season.
Shifting to the diamond in Texas, the Rangers have a real concern on their hands. Starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi has been placed on the fifteen-day injured list with right posterior elbow inflammation. He last took the mound August seventh, throwing five and a third solid innings against Baltimore, but elbow issues for a pitcher are never a minor footnote, and Texas will be watching this one closely.

The young Phillies arm has gone sixteen consecutive outings without a win, a brutal run for a team with postseason ambitions.
