Federal auditors have taken a hard look at DOGE's so-called Wall of Receipts, and the findings are not flattering. The Government Accountability Office found that several of the savings figures touted by Elon Musk's efficiency operation are either inaccurate or lack supporting evidence, including a claimed one point seven billion dollar cut from a contract that was never actually canceled.
Turning to a dividend note worth flagging for income investors, Visa will trade ex-dividend on August eleventh of twenty twenty six, paying out sixty-seven cents per share quarterly, which works out to roughly point one eight percent of its recent price of three hundred sixty-six dollars and seventy-six cents. A modest yield, but Visa's consistency as a dividend payer keeps it on the radar.
And on the public health front, Michigan health officials are signaling that the worst of this year's cyclospora outbreak may be behind us. The state, which sat at the center of the largest cyclosporiasis cluster in the country, confirmed this week that new case counts are declining, offering some relief to consumers who had been advised to avoid leafy greens.
