The Detroit Tigers didn't wait long to hand Max Clark his moment. The organization's number one prospect was officially promoted from Triple-A Toledo Friday, stepping onto a major league roster for the first time in his career. CBS Sports had Clark ranked eleventh among all prospects heading into two thousand twenty six, and now Detroit hands him the number fifteen jersey as trade rumors swirl around ace Tarik Skubal. Big stage, big timing.
Meanwhile in San Jose, Collin Graf gets paid. The Sharks locked up their breakout forward on a three-year deal worth twelve point seven five million dollars after Graf delivered twenty one goals and twenty five assists across eighty one games last season. San Jose sees a building block and they moved fast to keep him in teal. Smart business from a franchise that needs wins wherever it can find them.
And over in New York, Giants rookie Cam Skattebo sat down with head coach John Harbaugh after his backflip at Fanatics Fest made the rounds. Skattebo acknowledged Friday that he sometimes does quote dumb things but said he's learning from it. The kid has electric upside, and Harbaugh clearly wants that energy channeled onto the field, not the convention floor.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
