Welcome to Markets Desk, here's what's moving right now.
Kevin Warsh is facing a credibility test on Wall Street, and so far he's not passing it. Investors are openly questioning whether the Fed chair has the resolve to hold the line on inflation, even as Warsh insists the central bank will do whatever it takes to hit that two percent target. The bond market's skepticism is doing real damage to his standing.
Turning to equities, Oracle got a sharp lift today after announcing an expanded partnership with Google Cloud. The deal brings Google's Gemini AI models directly into Oracle's AI Agent Studio, the company's platform for building enterprise AI agents. It's a meaningful vote of confidence in Oracle's cloud infrastructure and sent the stock notably higher on the session.
And in the ag pits, a split picture at midday. Corn is fractionally lower, brushing off early spillover support from wheat, with the national cash price slipping to just over four dollars and eighteen cents. Soybeans are holding onto modest gains, up one to three cents on the front months, with cash beans trading near eleven dollars and fifty-two cents.
That's the tape. Markets Desk, signing off the floor.
