Linda Noskova is a Wimbledon champion. The Czech twenty-two-year-old survived a brutal second-set collapse to take down compatriot Karolina Muchova six-two, five-seven, six-three in an all-Czech final on Saturday. Noskova's composure in that deciding set was something else — her first Grand Slam title, and she earned every point of it.
Meanwhile in the NBA, Ja Morant is officially a Portland Trail Blazer, and he came out swinging in his first interview with the franchise. Morant addressed the narrative head-on, pushing back against those who've painted him as a bad actor, and making clear he intends to let his game do the talking going forward. Portland is betting big on that version of Ja showing up.
And in the WNBA, Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White confirmed Saturday that Caitlin Clark will suit up Sunday against the Las Vegas Aces, though she'll be on a minutes restriction of somewhere between twenty and twenty-five minutes. The Fever sit tied for the best record in the Eastern Conference at thirteen and nine, and even a limited Clark is a matchup problem nobody wants.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
