The Chicago White Sox flipped the script in the AL Central on Tuesday, with Miguel Vargas launching a go-ahead solo shot in the sixth inning to edge the Cleveland Guardians two to one. Sean Burke was sharp on the mound, and just like that, Chicago owns a one-game lead atop the division after taking the series.
Meanwhile in Brooklyn, the NBA Draft rolled on and the San Antonio Spurs made their move at pick twenty, selecting Kentucky forward Jayden Quaintance to play alongside Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs made the Finals this year before falling to the Knicks in five, and they're clearly building toward something dangerous up front with that pairing.
And over in the NHL, the Blackhawks are making noise ahead of Friday's draft, trading picks four and forty-five along with defenseman Louis Crevier to Buffalo in exchange for defenseman Bowen Byram and forward Jordan Greenway. Chicago is adding experienced pieces while still clearly building toward their future.
