The Pope's words were simple and striking: I want to bow before your dignity. In a season of hardening borders and sharpened rhetoric, that posture carries weight.
Closer to home, questions are being raised about Pastor Jamal Bryant, a prominent megachurch leader known for championing present fatherhood in Black communities. A woman now claims he has been absent from the life of a son she says he fathered over a decade ago. The gap between a public message and a private life is always worth sitting with, quietly and without cruelty.
And then, from the deep ocean, something almost otherworldly. Goblin sharks, those ancient, rarely seen creatures of the abyss, have been filmed in their natural habitat for the very first time. There is something humbling in that. A living being sharing this planet with us for millions of years, only now stepping briefly into our light.
