The San Antonio Spurs had a twenty-nine point lead at Madison Square Garden and somehow found a way to hand the New York Knicks a miracle comeback for the ages. Charles Barkley did not hold back, calling San Antonio quote the dumbest basketball team in the history of civilisation, and honestly, it's hard to argue. The Knicks are now one win away from their first championship in more than fifty years.
Shifting to the ice, the Los Angeles Kings are betting on Peter Laviolette to solve their offensive problems. General manager Ken Holland made it clear the hire is specifically designed to wake up a Kings attack that simply wasn't getting the job done. Laviolette has built high-powered offenses before, and Holland is counting on him to do it again on the West Coast.
And in Cleveland, Deshaun Watson addressed reporters for the first time since rupturing his right Achilles tendon back in October of two thousand twenty four. Watson spoke after the Browns' second day of mandatory minicamp, saying he's eager to get back under center and brushing aside any tension stemming from comments made by owner Jimmy Haslam. The road back is long, but Watson sounds ready to walk it.
