In Toronto last night, the Phillies put on a power display that the Blue Jays had no answer for. Kyle Schwarber crushed his twenty-fourth home run of the year, Bryce Harper went deep, and Alec Bohm put the game away with a three-run shot as Philadelphia rolled seven to four. Jesús Luzardo was sharp through nearly six innings, and the Phillies have now won seven of their last nine.
Shifting to Kansas City, a scary moment on the mound in the fourth inning when Royals starter Seth Lugo took a line drive off his forehead — a shot clocked at a hundred and six point six miles per hour off the bat of Brandon Nimmo. Lugo went down immediately but was able to get up without help and walked off under his own power. We're watching that situation closely.
And in the NBA Finals, the Knicks are in serious trouble. San Antonio came out and buried New York in Game Four, building a nineteen-point lead after just one quarter after Karl-Anthony Towns picked up two controversial fouls in the first sixty-two seconds. The Spurs are making a statement in this series, and the Knicks need answers fast.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
