Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson was arrested Monday night on a felony domestic battery charge, confirmed by the LAPD and NBC four Los Angeles. Police arrived at Jackson's home around eleven p.m. following a verbal altercation. Jackson allegedly believed a woman was recording him on her phone and attempted to take the device by force. The Rams have yet to issue a formal statement.
Shifting to the diamond, the Yankees took game one in Cleveland, rallying in the eighth inning before finishing off the Guardians in ten innings, seven to five. New York at thirty-nine and twenty-six remains tied with Tampa Bay atop the AL East, while Cleveland's grip on the AL Central has tightened to just one and a half games over Chicago. Game two goes Tuesday night and both clubs need it badly.
And in the NFL, A.J. Brown made his exit from Philadelphia with a message that's turning heads. Before leaving the Eagles facility for the last time, Brown reportedly wrote on a photo of himself, quote, the best to ever play here, always open. Bold words from a receiver now headed to New England, and you can bet that quote will live rent-free in Philly for a while.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
