Lean hogs extended their slide, with July leading losses of nearly three dollars on the day and June shedding one dollar fifty-five on the week, as cash hog prices dipped below ninety-four dollars. Live cattle told a different story — futures clawed back from midday lows to close fractionally higher, and cash trade firmed to two hundred fifty-eight dollars, giving the cattle market a constructive close heading into the weekend.
