That is twelve straight playoff wins for this team, and Brunson says it comes down to one thing — chemistry. This group just trusts each other, and right now, that trust looks unbeatable.
The game had its share of drama off the court too. In the fourth quarter, a fan broke free from security and sprinted onto the floor, making a beeline straight for Victor Wembanyama to snap a selfie. Security hauled him off quickly, and Wembanyama looked more amused than rattled. Safe to say that fan's arena days are officially behind him.
Shifting south to the college diamond, Texas is one win away from a repeat championship at the Women's College World Series. Teagan Kavan threw a complete-game three-hitter against Texas Tech, and Katie Stewart crushed her fourth home run in four straight games as the Longhorns rolled seven to three. Texas is playing like a team that knows exactly what it wants.
