Equities found their footing this afternoon as oil prices pulled back sharply from session highs, giving traders a reason to buy. The S&P five hundred is up about a tenth of a percent, the Dow adding roughly a third, and the Nasdaq holding modest gains — a classic relief rally driven by cheaper energy costs easing inflation pressure on margins.
Turning to the SpaceX S-one filing, and it's revealing just how deeply Elon Musk's empire is wired together. Last year alone, SpaceX was involved in more than six hundred sixty million dollars worth of transactions with related ventures including Tesla and The Boring Company. That kind of intercompany flow raises real questions about governance, pricing, and independence that investors in any of those entities will need to reckon with.
And on the small business front, the SBA is doubling its maximum loan size to ten million dollars for certain borrowers, effective the fourth of July. The change targets businesses requiring heavy equipment or commercial real estate — capital-intensive sectors that have long outgrown the old ceiling. For community lenders, this opens a meaningful new tier of deal flow.
