Starter Alex Lyon was pulled after stopping just one of four shots, and backup Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stepped in and held the fort with seventeen saves as Buffalo's offense did the rest.
Shifting to the diamond, Houston's got a scare on their hands after Jose Altuve left Saturday night's two to nothing win over Texas in the ninth inning with soreness on his left side. The Astros second baseman is set for an MRI on Sunday, and you can bet that organization is holding its breath waiting on those results.
And in the fight game, Arnold Allen picked up a big one at UFC Vegas one seventeen in Las Vegas, grinding out a decision win over rising featherweight contender Melquizael Costa in the main event. It wasn't always pretty, but Allen got his hand raised and reminded the division he's still very much in the conversation.
