Jon Rahm delivered what's being called a fantastic third round, and now he and Ryder Cup teammate Ludvig Aberg are knotted at the top in a five-way tie. Warm, blustery conditions made scoring a grind all day, and with five players sharing the lead, Sunday's final round could go absolutely anywhere.
Shifting to baseball, the Texas Rangers are dealing with a real concern heading into the stretch of their series against Houston. Corey Seager, the All-Star shortstop and cornerstone of that lineup, missed his second straight start after waking up with back spasms Saturday morning. Back issues can linger, and with the Rangers in a division fight, every game against the Astros carries weight.
Over in the IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders put on an offensive clinic at Eden Gardens, posting two hundred forty seven for two against Gujarat Titans. Angkrish Raghuvanshi knocked in an unbeaten eighty two, putting him in elite company in franchise history. The match wasn't without drama though, as Gujarat's Sai Sudharsan retired hurt after taking a delivery flush on the elbow.
